"Dreams"

Hold fast to dreams/ For if dreams die/ Life is a broken-winged bird/ That cannot fly.// Hold fast to dreams/ For when dreams go/ Life is a barren field/ Frozen with snow. Langston Hughes

when i have a single room next year...i want to get a large whiteboard or blackboard on my wall... I have found that whiteboard/blackboard helps A LOT with studying...it is like an instant scrap paper that can be used repetitively. How convenient! Seriously...with biochem next year...the board would help so much... i have already found it helps with physiology, too bad that I got kicked out from the study room in the libarary one day. sigh.

i talked to mom for 40 minutes last night... she sounded just like a child when she told me that she is scared she's shrinking really fast. Linda, her co-worker, told mom that she thinks mom is getting shorter... i can understand her fear of getting shorter especially since she only has 5 feet 2 to start with... i told her why not get her height measured so that she'll be sure she's not shrinking too fast, "no," said she, "i am scared of seeing my actual height." i wish i could be home and give her a big hug and rub her back to make her feel better...

i talked to dad for some time this morning also...telling him how mom's scared that she's getting shorter and shorter... he told me about grandma's shrinkage too... he said that she's really tiny now... I can't imagine grandma getting so short... she was my height, even taller, when she was young... now, well, 2 years ago...she's about my chin height... she looked really fragile too. I am always really afraid that she might fall or slip... it would be very bad... and now, even though she didn't fall or slip, her condition is getting worse too... old age... what can you say... i just wish i could go back and see her too... can my engineer friends invent a transport machine?

i am all of a sudden really home sick for some reason... now i can totally see why charlie gets so homesick too... and he's been here longer than i am.

alright...enough of a break from physio...going back to the burrow again.
