"Dreams"

Hold fast to dreams/ For if dreams die/ Life is a broken-winged bird/ That cannot fly.// Hold fast to dreams/ For when dreams go/ Life is a barren field/ Frozen with snow. Langston Hughes

wow...i was playing with the tuition/fee calculator on msu website today... people often ask me how much my tuition is, and i can never really tell them, because i seriously don't know. i never knew that 1 credit for out of state student costs $529.5 for freshman/sophomore student. that's pretty impressive... 1 credit is not even a concrete object that you can hold on to...it is just an abstract thing that we invent in our society.

have you ever wondered why your health insurance premium keeps going up yet the coverage doesn't necessary increase (and sometimes it covers less)? it turns out that there is this multi-variable equation that contains factors from the hospital, doctor, insurance companies, stock market, pharmaceutical companies, government policies, the uninsured people, etc. i am intrigued and fascinated by this...

i am thinking that i should become a geriatrics in the future if i can't become a psychiatrist or a neurologist...and even if i do become a psychiatrist or a neurologist, i should focus on the elderly. we are going to have a lot of older people when I grow up because of the babyboomers... there is going to be a shortage in this field... plus, i like the elderly in general. they can teach you a lot of things about life.. and i should strive to help them so that they will be able to get government's aid that's being cut back nowadays...
