5 more days to go. i can't wait.

i love spring. it's my favorite season. oooh, here is the highlight of the day.

sann and i were sitting at the patio outside owens. she was eating a chocolate bar. all of a sudden, we heard some rustling sound behind us, and we turned around. there it was, a gigantic squirrel standing on its feet. he had his paws sticking out as if he was begging for a piece of the chocolate and he fixed his black sparkly eyes at sann, or i should say, at sann's chocolate bar. did he think his innocent eyes were going to win a piece of the chocolate bar? we shooed him away, so he ran to the bench and stood there to stare at us. eventually, san threw a small piece of the chocolate at him. he swiftly picked it up and began to chew on it, totally enjoying the thick sweet taste of chocolate.

"look at him... yo, you know your BMI is way high for your body, right? you are going to get cardiovascular diseases, dude, if you don't start to eat healthy. go get some tree nuts! you are humongous for a squirrel."

he totally ignored my mean comments and continued to enjoy his chocolate.

once he was done eating, he climbed down the bench and walked toward sann again, as if he was hoping sann will spare him another piece.

"oh no, you are not going to get another piece. you are too fat. sann, finish your chocolate before it grabs it."

we shooed him away again. this little thing... geez. he decided to climb up to the fence that fenced off the large tree in the middle of the patio. Then, something unexpected happened. the squirrel dude decided to have a sun bath. he sprawled his limbs wide open and lay on his belly while the warm spring sun shone on his chestnut furry coat. he was enjoying his life to the fullest. what could be better than a full stomach and some sun light on a day like this?

i was highly amused by this particular squirrel's reactions... "so, girls, i am full and i want to enjoy the sun, you can go back to work on your lab notebook now," said mr. squirrel. it talked to us without language. we understood one another perfectly. it was quite an experience. haha. that fat little cuddly thing... :)

so that was the highlight of the day. now, pei is going to start studying for her biochem quiz and work on some practice mcat problems
