i went to a bar yesterday (saturday night)...yes... i did. to hang out with some cool brazilian friends and learn about their annual carnival. those older people are really good at dancing... it amazes me how well they can move their hips and legs without getting all tangled up. I also learned the brazilian hello and goodbye gestures... ha. it is quite interesting. I remember the first time when someone tried to say hello to me in the brazilian way, i just sticked my hand out and shaked hands with her instead of giving her this cheek kiss thing... the place wasn't too smoky either...nobody in that area smoked unless you go to the actual bar where the americans are at... these brazilians are really friendly and open... i like them. =). it was fun hanging out with a different group of people with interesting background and culture heritage... i enjoyed the time even though i got really tired afterwards and i just want to sleep... yes...i was at the party mode last night... the bad thing i did last night was having 2 tiny sips of that lemon alcohol thing... they made my throat really warm, so that was what american made brazilian drinks taste like... i like the lemon shaved ice chunk thing that i had with my dad in a bar a couple years back in taiwan (it was a learning lesson given by dad...so that i would know what a bar looks like and what people do in there. i spent 2-3 hours drinking that one cup of that thing....lol).

it is good to try out something new once in a while... experience something fun with some great friends.

can't wait until the summer of 2006....WOOOHOOO.... =)
