"Dreams"

Hold fast to dreams/ For if dreams die/ Life is a broken-winged bird/ That cannot fly.// Hold fast to dreams/ For when dreams go/ Life is a barren field/ Frozen with snow. Langston Hughes

back to school... my finger is messed up again due to the humidity in san francisco and now the driness of michigan... it hurts.

i couldn't fall asleep last night. it wasn't due to the fact that i was scared to sleep after watching THE RING, but it was more like a minor "jet lag." So, i didn't really sleep well last night, although i had a VERY sweet dream...

i can't really remember the detail of my dream, but i dreamed about making stir fried vegetable and kabob (although i really don't know how to make kabob in real life... the kabob part probably came from last night's dinner) in the basement of McDonel hall... For some reason, Sze's boyfriend was there in the laundry room (yeah...the laundry room was a part of the kitchen) and some other guy from my study abroad trip was there telling me where he was going for med school... Then, of course, the so-called Meat Eater came in, looking for the food I cooked and he was satisfied after a big yummy meal. i was happy. :) Then, when I got back, the Meat Eater's sn changed to something that pretty much said, "thank you, pei, and i like you." it was like a response after counting the petals on a flower, "he likes me, he likes me not, he likes me, he likes me not..." Alright...i will stop this nonsense talking now and resume my normal serious composure. enough w/ the silly girly dream...

a note to THE RING... people...when you watch scary movies, turn ON the light... then it is not going to be that scary. I was expecting it to be much much scarier, thinking that every single person in the movie is going to die one by one... like that other movie, "i know what you did last summer"....or something like Chucky where inanimated things become human like and become evil...

i am a tough girl. :-p
