"Dreams"

Hold fast to dreams/ For if dreams die/ Life is a broken-winged bird/ That cannot fly.// Hold fast to dreams/ For when dreams go/ Life is a barren field/ Frozen with snow. Langston Hughes

so, yee went w/ mom to church and listened to a white pastor preach last night. his experience was not that great... i totally understand why after he explained the whole thing to me. for those who are interested in what happened, just go to his journal and read his entry.

it actually makes me kinda sad how it turned out. i don't understand why a pastor would have such a narrow view on other people's cultures, history, and religions even though he held a different religious view. to me, a pastor should be a wise and intelligent person who is tolerable yet holds firm to his own beliefs. perhaps it just reflects a little bit of the stereotypical americans... now, he is firmer that he will never have anything to do with religion. physics is officially his religion. lol. (if you really think about it...physics does explain everything in the world that's tangible. pretty cool, huh?) i told him that not all christians are like that... i am glad that my christian friends are not those narrow minded kind of people who have no respect toward other people's backgrounds.

youn mother made me a pair of socks! :) they are so comfortable. :). she was so nice to bring me korean snacks, seaweed (YUM), and citrus tea to help with my cough. then, we just chatted for an hour in my room last night.

then...i got to talk to dad. :). grandma is officially out of the hospital and now getting trained on urination. i am SO happy for her. she sounded happier although her voice was still quite weak. I wish i could give her a hug... so now she's looking forward to see me in the summer. :)

and...hm...there isn't much going on in my life other than dealing w/ the flu and school work. i am not sure if my flu is getting better or worse. i rather think it is getting better. cough is getting a lot better, but my voice is somewhat gone. my voice sounds like a boy hitting puberty when i try to raise my voice. lol. i try to make all kinds of different noises with this strange voice of mine. i start to sneeze, and i get a lot more headache and muscleaches... this whole entire flu experience is the reverse of what i normally have... we'll see what happens.
