"Dreams"

Hold fast to dreams/ For if dreams die/ Life is a broken-winged bird/ That cannot fly.// Hold fast to dreams/ For when dreams go/ Life is a barren field/ Frozen with snow. Langston Hughes

rollerblading is fun. i still don't quite know how to stop. So everything i need to stop, i jump onto the lawn to stop myself. ha.

got a cellphone...finally. =)

while rollerblading around the neighborhood with mom walking by my side to make sure i don't fall too terribly, we came across our korean neighbor who just got back from work. not a good news. we knew that her boyfriend was sick because of a blood clot at his leg, but it is more serious than a mere blood clot. it is lung cancer that had spread to his bones and lymphatic system, the worst. god... it is so devastating. i was so mortified and so shocked to hear it. doctors say that he will have less than a year to live, and my neighbor and he have pledged to be with one another for the rest of their lives. it is so heartbreaking to hear something like this. you learn how fragile human beings are, just like ants. something like a natural disaster or a disease can wipe us away easily... people get crushed physically and emotionally and become nothingness. it takes a strong heart to withstand the fact that someone you love very much is going to die soon, and it takes a strong heart for the sick person to admit and accept the fact that he/she is dying soon. need a lot of courage and strength on both sides. hopefully he will be able to retain his dignity and will not suffer too much pain. sigh...

when i see dad in august...i will let him know how much i love him...and will try to convince him to quit smoking.
