so, today...was pulled up by mom at around 9am.
"pei, wake up, wake up, let's go to the beach!"
"huh? noooo...it's cold at the beach."
"come on. i always remember what you wanna do. monica is coming too, let's go."
"ehem... but it is cold at the beach...it's too late..."
well, after 10 minutes of whining, i got up and got dressed though i really didn't want to go to the beach. not in the "beach mood"... so by the time we met Monica, it was already a little after 10. should we go to down to jersey or just hang around at the beach in 7 lakes? we decided to take the chance and took 87, but monica think parking lot would be closed at the shore. so we went to 7 lakes.
i felt really pretty this morning because i was in my white skirt and my white 100% paper hat and my blue sun glasses... so, i just basically took off my shirt and skirt and start putting sun block lotion 30 SPF on myself (p.s. i had my new "sexy" swimming suit on...yeah, the one that's really low in the front and the back, sigh.). enjoying the sun and the breeze, totally refusing to go into the lake water because it was frigid cold. 30 minutes later, i got 4 mosquito bites and my arms become a little bit red. hmm...interesting. skin felt warm and hot... 1 hour later, my arms turned from beige to bronze. wooo, magic! mom and monica noticed that too...so for the remaining 1 hour or 2, i had my arms covered in my towels because they were really burning hot. (btw, i did walk into the lake for a little bit to cool myself off...) anyways, so we finally decided to go back home at around 2 because monica is afraid that i'll be "cooked"... (p.s. there were some really cool bikes outside the bathroom...i wish i could just sit on it for 5 sec when i walked by...)
went to work at around 5 (after taking a shower at home) with my hat and sun glasses... nobody seemed to notice me when i walked in, which is kinda rare. so i walked up to kristen...and said hello to her. she was totally surprised, "pei! i can't even recognize you! you are so dark!" um...ok. i politely took that as a compliment since americans all want to get tanned. glad that i didn't stay under the sun too long...or else i'll look like a piece of "coal".
shaked hands with an boy with autism at work today. quite an experience... he kept asking kristen if he could hug her. lol. i felt like a brave knight when i tried to block him from hugging her. heh. =)
