"Dreams"

Hold fast to dreams/ For if dreams die/ Life is a broken-winged bird/ That cannot fly.// Hold fast to dreams/ For when dreams go/ Life is a barren field/ Frozen with snow. Langston Hughes

so many things happened in the past week...

ah...tuesday, i think the 19th, was such an adventurous day! we went to cooper union in the city because yee, dave, and alex are visiting that school. the school is very small, not too much bigger than MW (my high school). they weren't too pleased with the size of the school... dave had his first bubble tea & wanton soup. it was pretty amuzing watching them eat because they never really had "real" chinese food before. ha.

oh yes...at 11am before we went to CU...i was SO happy and excited when i went to the box office where "the producers" is playing because they still have student rush ticket!!! i seriously thanked god for my good luck. i felt SO special when i got my tickets...the air around me began to sparkle and shine. i felt so happy because my prayer was answered! that was a very cool moment... mm...or according to yee, it'd be luck. i basically bounced the whole way from the box office to the subway station. ha.

so yeah...my first time in the city in the evening was quite adventurous... i wandered around the port authority bus station and looked for restaurants, because i was told to. anyways...i got into this really interesting bookstore that sells everything that has anything to do with drama and play... you can see all these scripts/plays organized in those bookshelves in this perfect harmony and peace... the smell of the old paper and the entire atmosphere were so different that i wish i can just live in there.

mm...dinner went well...except that i forgot that jon doesn't eat "dried shrimps" because they are "nasty"... i'll definitely remember that next time. the show went well too... laughed a lot at those somewhat dirty jokes. :-p. it was decent, but i like 42nd street a lot better. maybe next time, i'll see if i can watch the lion king. i heard that's really really really good.

the trip back home...ha...i made a big "wu long" or boo boo... carelessness is very bad indeed. it's really bad. i read the train schedule wrong, so i ended up not being able to get back by train and had to have jon driving me half way up to meet up with my mom who's going to pick me up. sigh. i'll never do that again. i'll definitely read those really tiny words on the schedule next time. mm...yeah. definitely will be careful next time.

then...time elapses...packed too many books with me to lansing...so we concentrated one suitcase and paid extra for it. felt bad that charlie had to help me to unload my luggage. sorry about that. got my carpet from ben & jared's bathroom and reorganized the room with mandy. the two days went by really quickly. i didn't get to have my own time until right now. it's nice to have my ears quiet at times... in fact, it is really nice.

oh yeah...and emi and i met this "unique" grad student who's a yoga teacher. maybe i'll write about him next time. i seriously have to get going now.
