"Dreams"

Hold fast to dreams/ For if dreams die/ Life is a broken-winged bird/ That cannot fly.// Hold fast to dreams/ For when dreams go/ Life is a barren field/ Frozen with snow. Langston Hughes

there was this power blackout last night until around 10pm... wonder what really happened...

i finished reading harry potter 5 today. i can't believe Sirius died!!!!!!! i cried really hard while i was reading that part, and i reread that part a few times to make sure I didn't misread it. i CANNOT BELIEVE she let him die!!! this is outrageous... i LOVE SIRIUS... he's so intelligent and empathetic and understanding... he's really loving and caring, too. of course, he can get really impulsive, too, but never violent. he has a great sense of humour too which always made me laugh. he also had a very unusal experience, being the "scapegoat" of something that he never did and enduring all those misunderstanding and slander from people who didn't believe him. i love that dude, and I can't believe he died...(although i did have this inkling that he is going to be the victim of the relentless "You Know Who" and the stupid selfish Death Eaters...) He died because of a moment of carelessness, because of a good laugh at his enemy, because ...because he was trying to protect the kids. sigh. this is soooo sad. He was such a fun & creative person even though he could get really sullen at the time (as a result of the Azkaban & the dementors)... i really like him... he's like this grown-up kid who like to take risk and have some harmless fun. i guess i was too drawn into the story that there was this momentary hatred towards him because he died so suddenly... how can he just leave like that? sigh... i wish they can find someway to magically revive him and make him new again...

who else are my favorite characters in harry potter? you want to know? I like Ron Weasley, Geroge & Fred Weasley (Ron's twin brothers who opened up a jokeshop in Dragon's Ally), Hagrid the half giant, Dumbledore the headmaster, Lupin, and of course Sirius.... a lot of people, huh? but they all have this sense of humor or at least innocence in them.

do you ever wonder that there is a magical world existing somewhere? maybe not like the world described in Harry Potter...maybe our world is magical enough come to think of it. hmmm...maybe. i wonder... how cool would it be if we can produce spells...hehe. make things levitate or make things turn into something else! we can make sure that people'll never cheat on exams again...muwahahaha...or let out a personal secret... ok ok ok... maybe that's why Harry Potter's world is so dark & scary at times... but even without magic, our world can be kinda scary too with those biological/chemical/radiation weapons... or not even weapons. think about how we would surely pretty much become immobile without electricity... and how vulnerable we were last night not knowing what's really going on... it was just like that power outage they had in taiwan a few summers ago...my grandparents thought china finally have had enough of taiwan's taunting and the whatnot and had finally decided to somehow shut down the electricity in taiwan. the whole island turned dark, disappearing from the night... the light has been blown out all of a sudden...

who knows what really happened...
